Cancelling Loaf Pro

On your iPhone: Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions › Loaf › Cancel Subscription. You keep Loaf Pro until the period you have paid for runs out. Deleting the app does not cancel it, and neither does deleting your pet.

Refunds go through Apple rather than us — reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in Loaf is what went wrong, write to us first and we will tell Apple so.

I paid, and Loaf is asking me to subscribe

Tap Restore purchases — on the subscribe screen, or in Loaf’s own Settings, behind the profile button on Home. That asks the App Store what your Apple Account already owns, which is the whole of it, as long as you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. If it still will not come back, send us the date of the purchase and we will sort it out.

My pet is still being drawn

Drawing takes a minute or so, and sometimes longer when a lot of people are setting up at once. It carries on whether Loaf is open or not, and your pet is there the next time you open the app. If a day has gone by and they have not arrived, write to us with roughly when you started and we will find the job.

My pet came out wrong

While you are setting Loaf up, the naming step has Replace photo — go back one screen and take another. A clear, well-lit picture with your pet facing the camera and not much else in the frame gives the model the most to work with. The drawings are made by an AI model, so two runs from the same photo will not be identical.

Once setup is finished, this version has no way to redraw from inside the app yet. Write to us — say what animal it is and what went wrong — and we will sort it out. A redraw button is one of the first things coming.

I reinstalled Loaf and my pet is gone

In this version, your nights, your streak and everything your pet owns live only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them, and there is no restore yet. We are sorry — that is the honest state of this version, and backup and restore are the next thing being built.

Turning notifications, or usage sharing, off

Notifications: iPhone Settings › Notifications › Loaf. Usage sharing: Loaf’s own Settings names Share usage data — where there is something to share it is a switch, and in the UK and Ireland it starts off until you turn it on.

Deleting everything

Settings › Delete [your pet’s name] and my data ends the account, removes the drawings from our servers and clears your nights from the phone. Deleting the app itself clears anything Loaf had left on the device. Your photo library is yours and is left alone. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel a subscription — do that first, above. The privacy policy lists exactly what is held and for how long.
